La Hispano-American Journal of Health Sciences (RHCS) is the official organ of scientific dissemination in health of the Vice-Rectorate of Research and Professional Development of the Hispano-American University of Costa Rica, whose publication is in charge of an Editorial Committee, governed by its internal regulations whose editorial headquarters of the Journal is at Calle 21, Aranjuez, San José, Costa Rica, 10101. It is a peer-reviewed publication, published quarterly (January–March, April–June, July–September, and October–December), in order to promote the development of knowledge and technology in health sciences. , promoting the exchange of experiences with similar entities in Costa Rica and abroad.

The Journal receives unpublished contributions distributed in the following sections: Editorial, Research articles (originals and short originals), Review, Public health stories, Case Reports, and Letters to the Editor, which are reviewed by national experts (peers). as foreigners, who have previously published similar research, give their opinion anonymously on the quality and validity of the results, publishing those articles with a favorable evaluation. The review time takes in most cases between two to four months depending on the speed of the reviewers and authors.
